This term has been no exception in Maple’s production of informative class assemblies. Thank you to the children who taught us about the Second World War, Anti-Racism, St George’s Day, Eid al-Fitr, Vesak and Ascension Day.
Cedar Class researched how religion helped to inspire leaders such as Dr Martin Luther King, Dr Hany El Bana, Desmond Tutu, Saint Teresa, Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda and William Booth. We organised our work and then presented it to our class.
Willow were inspired this afternoon by the people we admire and created a thank you tree to celebrate all the adults at home that help us. Thank you for all that you do.
Our RE is about how different religions celebrate significant moments in life. We started the unit by thinking about significant moments in our life so far and shared these with each other.
In RE in Willow Class we have been looking at the importance of Light at Christmas. We explored the Christian tradition of making a Christingle and learnt about what the different components represent.
