Chestnut Class discussed the fact that we are all different but we all have something that makes us special. We looked at the reasons why someone might be a bully and what we have the right to at school.
After our first activity we made some freeze frame role plays of different types of bullying. In each role play was a bully, a victim and a bystander. There was also a narrator to explain what was happening. Each character in the scene had to come forward and discuss their feelings and actions.

This week we have been learning about figurative language which we are going to include in our descriptive writing. We learnt about similes, metaphors and personification as well as onomatopoeia and worked in groups to practise using these techniques. We also used our novel study book ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’ to find examples of descriptive language.
