As part of our world book day celebrations, all the pupils took part in Achievement For All’s 100 million minute reading challenge. Lots of schools across the country took part to see if children could read for 100 million minutes. In just one week, children at Gotham Primary School, managed to read for 18,897 minutes at home! This is an amazing achievement! The winning house team, with the highest number of minutes, was Jupiter with 5136 minutes. Well done team Jupiter!
In Willow Class this week, we have looked at playing notes on the glockenspiel. We have also looked at how music is written and learnt how to read different types of notes. From this we then composed our own piece of music to play and performed it to some other children in the class.
At the beginning of the year the class were given 6 different creative curriculum homework tasks to choose from. Willow class did a great job when showing their homework to the rest of the class!
Willow Class LOVE drumba! We have been doing drumba for 6 weeks and the children have really enjoyed learning the routines!
As part of our Design Technology project we researched, designed and made pop up cards for a specific person and occasion.
