Today Willow class have been on an exciting adventure to Wollaton Hall.

(owner of Wollaton Hall in 1588)
Firstly, we learnt all about the Elizabethan explorers and all the places they had discovered. We learnt of their adventures on the high seas and how they had to use compasses to help them to come back home.

Then we learnt a dance that we would later perform for Sir Francis Willoughby. As well as learning the best way to bow and courtesy towards him!

Next we headed to the kitchens to learn about all the expensive spices and to help make the March pane (marzipan) for Sir Francis.

We had a wonderful day and have learnt so much about the Tudors!
