With the help of some Lego models and some excellent ideas from the children,
Willow had some really interesting discussions about cyber-bullies and what to do should you ever encounter one.
We created a ‘meanie’ out of Lego and then created our own forces of good to help raise awareness.
We really enjoyed focussing our energy on our Lego whilst having fascinating conversations.
In Antibullying week Chestnut class wrote about what they would do to make sure bullying doesn’t happen. We also thought about nice things you can do for people and what isn’t nice for people. Then we discussed different scenarios that might be encountered online which we learned was cyberbullying. They were very sensible with their ideas and knew exactly what to do if it happened to them. Well done!
On Monday Maple Class visited Warning Zone, which is an interactive experience designed to teach life skills. They learnt about E-safety, fire safety, anti social behaviour and risks associated with electricity, roads and building sites. The children loved the interactive games and learnt lots of skills for the future. We will be following this up further with Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) starting in January. Well done to Maple Class for hosting this year’s Macmillan Coffee Afternoon. You did a great job and raised over £400! Thank you to everyone who donated cakes too.
