Chestnut class have built on their learning about christenings and baptisms. They have now started to learn about why there are certain features to the service. For example, why water is used, why there are candles and why is the font near the entrance to the church. Val performed a christening on dolly Josie. The parents and Godparents were very proud.

Since the half term holiday, we have had two assemblies led by a member of the Nottingham Liberal Synagogue. We have seen artefacts and photos that have developed our understanding of how Jewish people worship at home and within the Synagogue. The children were able to extend their understanding by asking lots of questions.
In June, Sycamore were very lucky because they had a visit from two members of the Hindu Temple in Nottingham. We learnt more about how Hindus worship at home. We learnt about Hindu Gods and their characteristics. The children were able to ask questions and this developed their understanding of Hinduism.
